Let’s Introduce Ourselves

Education

I was born in Athens on November 3, 1976. In 2000, I completed my undergraduate studies at the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at the Alexander Technological Educational Institute. In 2006, I earned my Master of Science degree from the University of Paisley in Scotland. I have been working as a dietitian since 2003 and have been running a licensed dietetic office in Pangrati since 2005.

Training

I have completed two programs focusing on the psychological aspects of dietetic practice, equipping me with additional skills to better assist individuals visiting my office. These programs were titled “Beyond the Limits of Dieting” and “Communication and Counseling Skills for Dietitians”, organized by the Center for Psychological Applications (KEPSEF).

Professional Experience

I was appointed as Greece's representative by the European Federation of the Associations of Dietitians (EFAD) in the working group on information and communication technologies within the thematic network. Additionally, I served as a member of the Website Committee of the Hellenic Institute of Gastroenterology and Nutrition (2007–2011).

Writing and Publications

My main focus is the nutritional education of the public. This passion led me to write the first book in the medNutrition Wellness series, titled “Myths and Truths About Nutrition”.

I also actively contribute interviews and articles to magazines and newspapers on topics related to nutrition.

Memberships

I am a member of the Panhellenic Association of Dietitians and Nutritionists, the Hellenic Foundation of Gastroenterology and Nutrition, and the Hellenic Society for the Study of Risk Factors in Vascular Metabolic Diseases.

Interests

I am passionate about basketball and jogging. Nowadays, I proudly identify as a doting dad to my little daughter Dominiki, who has completely taken over all my free time and more!
